Problem statement
Roxy’s mobile app and kiosk interfaces were lacking the polish and fluidity expected in cinema apps, with rigid booking flows that slowed users down and didn’t fully reflect the premium, modern cinema experience the brand aimed to deliver.
Customers faced friction in browsing movies, selecting seats, and completing bookings, leading to potential drop-offs in both the app and self-service kiosks.
My Contribution
- Streamlined the movie discovery and booking flow for faster, more intuitive navigation.
- Introduced engaging micro-interactions and animations to elevate the premium brand feel.
- Established a unified design system and component libraries across all platforms.
- Ensured the design remained consistent with Roxy’s visual identity.
- Created user-friendly, touch-optimized Kiosk screens for self-service booking.
- Focused on speed, clarity and minimize steps & taps in Kiosk screens, reducing friction at busy cinema locations.
